This year many of us will be resorting to scouring the internet to buy Christmas gifts whilst the UK endures a second lockdown leading up to the big day. The good news is that whilst we may not be able to enjoy the luxury of browsing our favourite shops in our towns and cities as much as usual, we can definitely still support our independent businesses. In fact they need our help now more than ever.
Much of the hospitality and food & drink industry has felt the brunt of the coronavirus pandemic and we have watched them with admiration while they’ve worked hard and quickly adapted their businesses in the fight to keep trading. Products have been moved online, experiences have become virtual and our favourite restaurants are delivering to our doors. This is why I have put together a list of Christmas gift ideas for foodies who love to shop local.
Although most of these gifts can be purchased online, this guide exclusively includes independent food & drink businesses who are all located in Herefordshire, Worcestershire or Gloucestershire. This means that by spending your money with them you are directly contributing to helping them stay open, which ultimately allows our local communities a chance to thrive.
