The Creative Director behind A Rule of Tum shares an insight into life in the kitchen and how the group's innovative 'Chefpreneur' model supports chefs to fulfil their dreams of opening their own restaurants. In this interview Dorian opens up about the admiration for his family and how their support has aided him on the journey to reaching his life-long dream of becoming a restauranteur.

Tell me a little bit about how you came to own or work in your business.

Founded from the desire to make and serve delicious food every day. A Rule of Tum began in 2013 as the passion project of a few Herefordians.

Focused on crafting honest dishes, inspired by local and seasonal ingredients, you’ll find our family of passionate people  working thoughtfully to create food experiences in Herefordshire and beyond.

What achievements, awards or accolades are you proud of?

Best Sunday Lunch for The Bookshop in the Observer. Best Japanese restaurant of the Year for Maneki Ramen

Any news announcements, or events that you’d like new and existing customers to be aware of?

We have lots going on all the time. Coming up straight away is NYE party in The Yard in Hereford.

What makes your business unique?

Having a group of exciting different brands. We will grow with our Chefpreneur Model, where we help chefs fulfil their dreams and help open their own restaurants, thus giving AROT an exciting creative group restaurants lead by passionate chefs who have a say.

My business partner and brother & my wife for always supporting me 😀

No where, here right now is perfect

What’s the best thing that happened to you last week?

We relaunched Burger shop and it is epic. I got to spend another day with my beautiful children
