FOOD & DRINK AT MALVERN AUTUMN SHOW

OPEN-AIR FOOD AND DRINK VILLAGE

Tasty treats are all on offer courtesy of a huge range of outstanding local suppliers at the open-air Food Market. There is also seating within this area and live music throughout the day. Click here for the 2022 timetable.

In 2022 the Kitchen Theatre was hosted by award-winning food writer and founder of Otter Farm, Mark Diacono, and featured daily cooking demonstrations from a long list of outstanding regional chefs, including:

John Torode MBE, one of the most popular and influential figures on the UK culinary circuit, and TV cook show co-host and judge.

James Mearing, executive chef at Crumplebury in Herefordshire, where critically-acclaimed fine dining restaurant Green Cow Kitchens has been delighting guests with farm-to-fork tasting experiences for a decade.

Channel 4’s Great British Bake Off finalist Chigs Parmar.  showcased the cooking skills that earned him two star baker awards.

WESTONS CIDER GARDEN
Our ever-popular Cider Garden, courtesy of Westons Cider Mill, offers weary legs a comfy spot for some R&R in the heart of the showground. Pull up a seat, grab a bite to eat and enjoy a refreshing tipple of Hereford’s finest.

THE GIN VILLAGE 
The Gin Village, supported by Ludlow Gin, featured samples, gin shopping, live music and of course the Ludlow Gin bar where you can relax in the gin garden surrounded by the beautiful backdrop of the Malvern Hills. It’s a must-visit for gin lovers.

The Gin Show showcased gin producers from across the three counties with an expert panel of judges presenting awards across a number of categories. Visitors were able to vote for their favourite gin in the People’s Choice Gin Show category, it’s just the tonic!

In 2022 the Gin Theatre was hosted by Andrew Easton from BBC Hereford and Worcester.

The talks and demonstrations included a not to be missed Gin Academy with Ludlow Gin all about the history of gin, what makes London Dry gin just that and how has it evolved, as well as a Cocktail Hour each day where Mark Diacono was joined by Adam Frost and Chigs Parmar.

There was live music throughout the day and a selection of Artisan Gin Producers giving talks about their craft and providing tasters.

FESTIVAL OF PERRY
In 2022 over 50 perries were on offer to try with a range of Single Varieties, Blends and International Perries. There was also a display of various types and sizes of presses, scratters and small scale cider making equipment. A range of perry producers were on hand to talk about the art of Perry making, tips on looking after your orchard and to promote this unique and highly valued drink.
