288 Bar & Wok is a local Chinese restaurant modelled around the noodle restaurants popular throughout Hong Kong and China.
Their head chef has nearly 50 years of Chinese culinary experience. He has been working in Chinese restaurants since he was 18 years old. He has worked in Hong Kong, Germany and London before joining 288 Bar & Wok in September 2005.
Locally sourcing Asian ingredients locally is challenge. Bamboo shoots and water chestnuts don’t grown well in the British climate! But where they can, 288 Bar & Wok buy locally. For over 10 years founder Pak Wai has been collecting their free range eggs from Clay Hall Farm, only 16 miles away. Every week, to ensure absolute freshness the team load up the truck with Chinese pak choi grown on a small family farm in the Vale of Evesham.
