Meze (or mezze) is a collection of small plate dishes served as an appetiser course or as the main meal when served with spirits. The individual dishes themselves are usually referred to as mezedes or mezedhes.
These small plates are meant to be shared among a group and are found in Eastern Mediterranean places such as Greece and Turkey ( as well as various other Middle Eastern Countries). If you are familiar with Spanish Tapas, then you already know the drill.
The Meze cafe is located in the historic Hereford Butter Market – a thriving indoor market with over 30 independent stalls. Eat in at the cafe or call in for a takeaway.
