Meringue making is notoriously tricky to master even for the most accomplished of cooks. So, if you’re like me and usually end up buying the pre-made ones because you just can’t seem to get it right, then I’ve got some amazing news for you. Award-winning Bakery Product Developer & Pastry chef Elle Townsend is coming to Worcester to show you how to rise to the occasion and create your own perfect fluffy clouds and shiny stiff peaks.
Elle whose cake designs have won awards for the likes of Harrods, Fortnum & Masons and The Conran Shop will be holding a meringue masterclass at The Crown Inn in Hallow. During the evening, Elle will be offering practical advice, demonstrating fool-proof techniques and giving guests an opportunity to have a go at piping, and tasting a selection of her meringues of course. You’ll also get to understand the difference between French, Italian and Swiss meringue and hear some top tips including which ingredients and products to use to guarantee perfect peaks every time.
I’ve booked my place and hope to see you there on Tuesday 5th September, from 7pm. Tickets are £20 and include a glass of Prosecco on arrival – to secure yours call The Crown Inn on 01905 640 408.
